Spent an inordinate amount of time in bed, wallowing.

Got up and spent an inordinate amount of time deep-cleaning the kitchen.

Got notification that J. had withdrawn money. I called and asked him not to withdraw any more. He came home shortly after, furious at my meanness, and anger ensued.

Watched The Darjeeling Limited together. Slept alone.

Woke up, things still tense.

J. and S. left together, I dropped the kids off with Dad, then Mom and I went to Tia Edith’s house to pick up the things I had bought from her (sofa, dryer, records).

After dropping off stuff at home, went to Mom’s house and had lunch there.

Brought the kids back home, surfed the internet a bit, washed and dried(!!) clothes, looked at new records.

Took the kids to Papa John’s for dinner and ate too much pizza.

Watched movies (Before I Go To Sleep, and The Imitation Game). Got message from J. that he was spending the night at Liliana’s house, although I suspect he has gone to V’s house. Blech. Wondered what I am doing with my life.

Woke up and rushed to take Newton to get groomed.

Ran some errands, went to The Pottery and bought new dishes, got in fight on the way to lunch, then ate at Archie’s in Sopó.

Continued arguing, picked up Newton, dropped him off at home, and then picked up Sergio and went with him for ice cream.

Came home, argued some more, watched the Royal Tenenbaums, drank lots of wine, and went to bed.

Lazy morning in bed (yes, again), and then off to Mom’s house for lunch.

Carolina and I went to Mare’s place for onces, to say goodbye to Alejandra.

Picked up kids, took them, home and put them to bed.

Read a bit of Infinite Jest, watched Rushmore, and then went to sleep^.

Slept-in, guilt-free!!

Read and cuddled^ for a bit, had Colombian-Swiss toast for breakfast, and then back into bed.

Stayed in bed all day, only getting out for meals.

Woke up early, for a Sunday.

Took Cecilia to the airport, had lunch with her there at El Corral, came back home.

Chilled in bed, online; worked on this site.

Picked up J at the gatehouse; Ben waited at home for us – alone!!

Had left-over pirogis for dinner and then back to bed for more online doodling. Reread old emails from Justin (Te quiero más que todos los pescados en el mar.) Went to sleep feeling sad.

Cleaned house (a lot!) to get ready for dinner party.

Took kids to Papa John’s for lunch and then bought last few ingredients at Carulla.

Came home, got appetizers and salad ready, showered and greeted guests.

Had a delicious dinner of Cecilia’s homemade pierogi, which she slaved over all day.

Lovely after-dinner conversation and then off to bed.

Made pancakes for breakfast.

Tidied a bit, got kids ready, dropped them off at Mom’s house.

Took Cecilia to La Candelaria, where we walked around for a bit and then had lunch.

Picked up Carolina at Parque Virrey. Then went to Carulla.

Started getting things ready for Saturday’s dinner party.

Carolina came over for wine and cheese.

Bedtime, which included a bit of arguing and a night apart.

Hungover!

Ate brunch at La Fontana, with Mom, Dad and Carola. Ate a lot of delicious fish. Boys pigged out on sushi.

Had coffee in Chia town square.

Prepared dinner for kids and then straight to bed. So tired!

Started reading Infinite Jest 🙂

Another lazy morning.

Went to Hato Grande Country Club and had lunch with Erika, Tio Jorge, Tia Marina, and kids.

Went to Koller looking for sauerkraut (bust: they were closed), and then to the Hotel Fontana to pay deposit for Thursday’s brunch.

At home, fed kids, got them in their PJs, and took them to Mom’s house for the night.

Went with Cecilia, Carola, Jose, Cata and Andres to New Year’s Eve party at Andres Carne de Res. Lots of fun! Lots of aguardiente!
