Lazy morning, then got kids ready and dropped them off at Mom’s house.

Went to Tia Edith and Tio Francisco’s house and spent entire afternoon raiding their library. Felt a bit vulture-like, but so happy with new-to-me books.

Had some wine with Cecilia and then off to bed^.

Had breakfast outside. Cecilia made cheesy scrambled eggs.

Talked with Jose a bit about life, the universe and everything.

Went to run a few errands with Cecilia. Bought a big floor cushion from Doña Gloria.

Ate at Osaki with the gang, Mom, and Carolina.

Drove around a bit looking at Christmas lights.

Cecilia made us pancakes for breakfast.

Mom and Carolina took Cecilia to Usaquen market

Camilo, Cata and Andres (plus kids) came over for lunch. Cami cooked delicious food. Spent lovely afternoon with them.

Evening chat with Cecilia.

Watched Clouds of Sils Maria.

Took Cecilia to Codabas to buy fruit.

Had lunch at Camilo’s restaurant.

Jose stayed behind to see Liliana and Lucia and ended up sleeping out.

Went to Mom’s house for dessert and visited with Jorge and Marina.

Took kids to watch Big Hero 6.

Evening chat with Cecilia.

Cecilia and I met Carolina and Angela for lunch at Abasto. Yummy fish and delicious lulo aji.

Angela showed us her and her brother’s apartments. Gorgeous!! Like little museums. Really inspired me!!

Chilled at home for a bit then made the kids dinner.

Watched St. Elmo’s Fire.

Woke up and started preparing pernil. Put it in the oven at 10am.

Opened some presents and then went to mom’s house to open a few more. We were late getting there. Mom was not pleased.

Cecilia moved her stuff from Mom’s house to mine. I think they were driving each other crazy.

Finished baking pernil at 4pm and went back to Mom’s house. We were late getting there. Mom was not pleased.

Spent a lovely afternoon with cousins.

Got home and went to bed at 9:30. The past few days have been exhausting.

Lazy morning spent cuddling with kids in bed and listening to Christmas music. The best.

Went out to finish the last of the Christmas shopping. The worst.

Got home to frantically pack all the bought-at-the-last-minute gifts.

Went with kids, parents, Jose, Sergio and Cecilia to Jorge Eslava’s house and spent a lovely Christmas Eve with lots of family. There were more Christmas presents than I have ever seen in my entire life.
